County Government
Owen County is served by a county judge executive and four magistrates on a fiscal court. They are elected to four-year terms.
The City of Owenton, which is the county seat, is served by a mayor and six council members. The mayor is elected to a four-year term and council members serve two-year terms.
The cities of Gratz and Monterey also have their own government structure. Each has a mayor and a city council.
